This excellent series of books was written during the 1940's. They reflect a Christian culture although the content is not overtly Christian. Their beauty lies in the storytelling approach. The author begins each book with the day the key person was born and proceeds to discuss what is going on around the world throughout his lifetime. This makes excellent connections between people and events all over the world. Therefore, each of these books is really a world history study. If you read these books in order, you have covered world history well for the time periods they address.Homeschoolers' Comments
